Kim's daycare

Recently my wonderful and helpful Mom was ill on a Friday when I would usually work in the gallery, leaving Lucy and my nephew Tucker with no one to watch them. Making best of the day, I thought it would be nice to have Tucker over to our house to bond with his auntie and cousins.

Here Lucy and Tucker are in the double stroller. We were on our way to the park at the top of the hill to see the animals. I had Elizabeth in the baby carrier on my chest. I got a workout this day for sure!

I thought all this park-going would tire them out, so I put them upstairs. I figured I'd try to put them in the crib together since I know they do that with twins and Tucker and Lucy are close buddies.

As I crept downstairs I thought I was in the clear. In fact, I was congratulating myself for my amazing nurturing skills.

This was not to last.

How foolish I was.

As I hit the last step, I heard the first giggle and then it was all over. Eruptions of laughing and then jumping signaled that there was to be no rest for the weary auntie. I brought them downstairs and we continued to play.

By the day's end I needed a nap!
