Afternoon in the backyard

It was a busy weekend as always. Lucy was ill with her first stomach bug but she recovered quickly, and we had a great time Saturday afternoon hanging out in our backyard.
There is something special about seeing your spouse being just wonderful with your child.
Moments like these are such fun.

I do love our small backyard.
When we bought the house there was no grass here. Soon after moving in we planted the lawn and I proceeded to work toward the garden I've always wanted to have. Three years in and I'd say we're doing pretty well.
