A little laughing and venting

This is a creative short video which made me laugh so I thought I'd share it.

Hope you enjoyed!

It was good for me to get a laugh out of pregnancy. Now I'm in the last weeks of my second trimester and have been having a rough time emotionally, sort of akin to a pre-partum depression. When our Lucy was born I remember feeling lighter physically (of course) but also emotionally. With the birth of our second girlie I hope I'll have a similar experience.

Pregnancy tends to give others a sense of license to do things otherwise considered inappropriate and I tend to internalize all of it. For example:

There was the bartender who rubbed my not-yet-showing belly under the table I was seated at when I told him why I had ordered a cranberry juice rather than my usual Lite beer.

There are the comments and questions about how much weight I've gained which I always take to mean something judge-y about me gaining too much weight to their perspective.

Numerous people have commented about my poor timing with this pregnancy. Of course I'm pretty thick to have chosen to be pregnant through the hot summer months due the first week of August.

Best, though, was last week when an acquaintance, after inquiring how many weeks I was and how much weight I have gained, took her leave by putting her hand to my cheek and turning my head away saying, "Keep your face away from the food." You'd have to assume I've gained 100 lbs. rather than the 12 I have. Ah well. People.

Thanks for reading while I commiserated. Sometimes it only takes a good vent!

Kim seriously - that last person you mention in this post is CRAZY!!!!!!!!!!! Who says that!? And only 12 lbs? That's amazing! I gained WAY more with Owen than with Morgan.
